New word!

Hey I was thinking out loud with a friend and we came up with this,

edusitzs - a. "A chair in which you learn"
b. "an educational perch."
(plural- edusitsi)

"Kathy had trouble at private school, to hard to get comfortable in the bulky edusitzs in each classroom."

It's like any chair you're sitting in predominantly for a period in which you learn something, along the lines of a school desk, but not so specific - example what if you were an online student and were doing most of your learning from your bed with a laptop? that makes your "edusitzs" your bed, if you are using laptop for school and you are sitting around cafes and delis you could have many places of learning in which you are stationery, you could make the hyperbole, "the city is my edusitzs!" in conclusion I think you anyone reading this must be intoxicated, so spread the word, and if you're not try anyway, its funny to make up new words.

Wayne is excellent

This is a video that me and Joe DeFoney made in high school because we had an 8mm camera and we were REALLY bored. The song was the only song on his sister's computer. The smiling guy in the picture was her boyfriend at the time, we found this picture of him (a christmas present for her I think) he was a deacon in the church so we thought it was appropriate to the song. (most likely the reason it was on the computer in the first place.) please praise or blast this video I just want the world to laugh.

BTW when we showed this video to him he didn't talk to either of us anymore.

EARTHQUAKE

Seriously, This is pretty funny and sad. look out for Walter Matthau in the bar too.
thanks to steve and joe for pointing this out.

Modern Action Figures Suck

So, I don't really read to many blogs. sans a few of my friends posts once and a while, or if something interesting catches my eye in the google image search. Fuck though, here I am with a blog of my own.....might as well make the best of it. The reason I started this thing is to tell you one thing.

Action Figures for the new generation of toy enthusiasts are shit.

Maybe I was too young to realize that all the toys in the 90s were cheap pieces of plastic, or maybe I was just to enthralled with playing with light up cyclops that I did not care if his legs were a little loose. but dammit, his legs never fell off, and he still was able to defeat magneto in my mind with the help of FREE STANDING figures like wolverine, rogue, gambit and the rest of the X-men. Perhaps I didn't care because they were only 4-5 dollars a pop, not 11.98 and treated like collectors items.

Check it though.

Yesterday I went to Wal-mart against every urge in my body to get clear acrylic sealer for custom mighty muggs. I walk over to the toy section as the little kid in me is drawn to their clever manipulative colors and shapes (damn you illuminati emblems!) I see that there is an exclusive of DC 6 inch figures featuring "The erradicator, The atom, Black Lighting, Amazo, and the riddler", all coming with a piece of a bigger figure (legs arms, body) to build a giant Metallo!

Well That is cool! so I bought it..figured I'd play with the figures for a little while (which is shown below) and then sell them on eBay or something. Whats ridiculous though is that about 3 minutes after I opened the package to the atom...his fucking arm broke off..

it just straight up fell off as if I had cut it with scissors, the glue obviously was made from a lame horse or chemicals. This would have been a forgivable offense for MATTEL, but I bought the whole series so as I open the other characters I realize there are several impurities. Paint scratched and smeared on black lighting's back, and the Riddler's shoulder amongst others, and you know what? Metallos legs barely fucking stay on by themselves.

I was pissed, however I gathered myself and decided to do the american thing.. and call MATTEL to get free shit.

so I did.

4 automated menus in brought me to the ominously dubbed "all other problems customer service" Brenda answered, let me take a minute to talk about Brenda.

Brenda who works for MATTEL customer service is all and all an excellent employee, she understands the concept of both giving the customer what they want and keeping the integrity of the company (beyond putting out products that are decent) in tact. I told her on the phone I would never buy MATTEL products again bassed on the chintzy paint job, the un posable figures, and the non intended detachable arm for the atom. 15 minutes later she was sending me a 25 dollar voucher for more MATTEL products and I was agreeing to receive a catalog from their company....DAMN SHE IS GOOD

Kids must play way harder than I do with toys..I just set them next to the computer so I can make up conversations for them while web pages load (no. not crazy, you do it too just not out loud...whatever)

This is the lesson we should have learned:

Can we make some decent toys that aren't SUPER expensive or toddler cute. Something that New fans of comics will enjoy playing with (and can do so without breaking) and old fans can enjoy having them around? I don't know I leave the challenge up to you Toy companys, but I encourage anyone reading this to call these toys distributors and make sure you don't settle for less.

Always less, Always Wal-mart

Anyways the Spray Arcylic worked out fine,
I used it for these custom Mighty Muggs, which aren't on sale yet (However there is an Iron Spider-man I've got for sale on ETSY check it out) yeah the Metallo is a really big figure.

If you read all this...Thanks, I am sorry you were that bored. I am not going to pretend like I'm going to post something this involved everyday, but I'll do what I can folks.
